Today’s Travels in WordPress

Today I played with my theme in order to have a set up that had more options to include visuals, and a lighter feel than my original. What I discovered however is that the theme that I preferred contained an error in which the footer was duplicated 3 times, all in matching columns, with no options to reduce the number of footers or delete them all together. How annoying! So, hopefully, my latest choice has eliminated that trouble and added the ability to set header and background visuals. I have also added additional pages (see About, and Class Projects) to both practice creating pages and maintaining a timeline of my class projects’ progressions.

I like the way that your site feels light and open. It is also very easy to navigate throughout the site. I agree with you, often the templates do not let you have much customization without payment, but I think you did a great job working with what you have!

I’m sorry your original theme couldn’t provide you with all the visuals you were looking for, but the theme you have now looks great! I really like the way your sidebar provides a lot of links and additional information without looking too busy. Additionally, I love how your color choices of black and white make your site look professionally simple. Adding pages to your site for practice was a very smart idea, I might do that too. Good luck with the rest of your blog!
