Drake is a Student-Athlete at Virginia Tech currently pursuing a BA degree, in Professional Writing. Drake originally hails from the Central New York town of Oswego (see also, Town of Oswego, and Oswego County), but is now a VA resident, and is very proud to be a Hokie! A self-proclaimed country boy and total outdoorsman, Drake prefers to spend his free time in the outdoors and with family hunting, hiking, kayaking, participating in shooting sports, fishing and doing a host of other activities. As an Athlete, Drake is a competitive swimmer on the VT Men’s Varsity Swim & Dive team. His primary events are the 50 and 100 yard Freestyle, and the 100 yard Butterfly. This photo was taken while on a family kayaking trip in the Stillwater, located in the lower Northwestern reaches of the Adirondack Mountains. The Still Water reservoir is the dammed upper part of the Beaver River, and has two dams, creating upper and lower “lakes'”.
